Graphics offers clients a wide range of finishing options
for their completed work. From the simplest mounting and laminating
jobs through to canvas-stretching, print framing and mounting
onto various material substrates and die-cut shapes –
we can help.
Within
these pages you’ll find prices and descriptions for some
of the more common mounting and laminating materials, but
there are too many to list here. Samples of all materials
are available at both labs so you can easily visualise a particular
finish for your job. If you have a special finishing requirement,
please contact one of our sales
staff. We’ll be happy to discuss your special requirements
and help you achieve what you’re looking for.

CARD
(2mm WHITE)
A cost-effective and lightweight 2mm cardboard,
suitable for semi-permanent displays where minimum weight
and thickness is required.

VG
MOUNT
A premium, lightweight and robust board available
in 10mm and 20mm. Finished with a black or white melamine edging. |
CRAFTWOOD
A very stable 9mm mounting solution ideal for
the long-term display of prints and artwork. Craftwood can be
finished with a black melamine edging. |
|
FOREX
(PVC)
Available in 3mm and 5mm thickness, this product
is a flexible waterproof substrate which can be glued, screwed
and nailed. Suitable for indoor and outdoor use. |
FOAMBOARD
Available in 5mm and 10mm, this product is lightweight
and cost-effective – ideal for inexpensive and simple display
purposes. 10mm foamboard is recommended for larger sizes. (10mm
also available in black) |

ACRYLIC
Available in 3mm and 6mm, this is a clear plastic
that resembles glass but is many times stronger and much lighter.
With polished edges, this material gives a superior result.
Facemounted prints are placed on the back and viewed through
the acrylic. Acrylic can also be drilled allowing placement
of stand-off bolts for wall mounting. |
IMAGEBOARD
5mm lightweight fluted board with a smooth surface,
which can be utilised single or double-sided. |

ALUPANEL
Strong 3mm aluminium-skinned board with a smooth
surface. |
STYRENE
At 1mm, this thin material is flexible and can
be rolled. |
|
COREFLUTE
5mm lightweight and cost-effective fluted board |
MOUNT
FILM
A high-strength, double-sided adhesive ready
to mount onto your own choice of backing. A full cover film
is added to the back of your print, with a second adhesive being
covered by a release paper which is simply removed when the
print is ready for mounting |

COLD
LAMINATION
Most suitable for protection of prints that
will be mounted. Pressure-sensitive laminate is applied to
the front of the print only.
Ideal
for inkjet prints and other images that may be heat sensitive.
Available in Gloss, Satin, Matt and Santex (stippled).

|
HOT
LAMINATION
Ideal for protection of prints that will not
be mounted. Suitable for photographic prints, posters, newspaper
and laser prints.
Prints
are encapsulated in laminate, offering protection from moisture,
physical damage, dirt, harmful gases and UV light. Available
in Gloss and Matt.

ADDITIONAL
NOTES

Storage
and display – Vision Graphics advises careful storage
and display of mounted and/or laminated material. |
| • |
Direct
sunlight, high heat and humidity will dry out the adhesive
element of the laminate over time. |
| • |
There
is no guaranteed safe way of removing old laminate from
a print. Vision Graphics will not undertake the removal
of old/existing laminate for this reason. |

UV
protection specifications for laminated jobs are available
at lab receptions. |
| • |
Vision
Graphics has its own fulltime in-house courier available
for safe and secure work collection and/or delivery.
Our courier’s van has a maximum capacity of 2000mm
(L) x 1200mm (W) x 1200mm (H) including any packaging.

UCM &
UIN (united centimetres & united inches) – add single length
width plus single length height to obtain UCM or UIM. For example,
a 16 x 20 inch print gives a measurement of 36 UIN. All prices include
GST.

| Canvas
Stretching Services |
Vision
Graphics can offer clients a canvas-stretching service to complement
our canvas printing. We use a 30mm wood for most stretching
work and a typical job takes 2-3 days.

762mm x 2 sides (1.52M) + 508mm x 2 sides (1.16M) gives
a total of
2.68 linear metres x $36.00 = $96.48 (inc GST) |

Note:
there is an option to either have the white canvas (or
another printed colour) wrap around the edge of the frame,
or have the image itself wrap around. If you wish to have
the image wrap around the frame, you will lose approximately
30mm* of the face image on all four sides.
The example shows how much image would be lost on a 20
x 30 inch print. Please factor this in when asking for
(or setting up files for) an image wrap.
* Some larger canvas prints being stretched may need up
to 50 - 60mm image on all four sides for wrapping. |
If
a single side length is longer than 2 metres, a heavier timber
is used - please call for a quote.
A minimum charge of $36.00 applies to our Canvas Stretching
service.
